DNA - means deoxyribonucleic acid. It is a molecule that encodes the genetic instructions used in the development of functioning organisms and other viruses.
How has DNA changed forensics?
DNA has changed forensics overtime because of its unique genetic signature. While using that we can read its genetic code and use it to identify the suspect and put him behind bars. The way we can use DNA fingerprinting is if the suspect leaves its DNA around. If we find his/her prints we can identify it. DNA fingerprinting began in the 1980's.
How do we use it?
We can use DNA to pick up the suspect's information. Scientists can pick up the information from the DNA and find the suspect's information. To use this you have to get bodily objects such as blood, skin, or hair.
